My name is Denis Rezendes. I’m a hobbyist woodworker located outside of Boston. I first started woodworking in my dad’s workshop during high school. One day I had the urge to build something and, if I remember correctly, my dad set me up with some plywood, screws, and a drywall saw. The rest is history, as they say.

About three years ago my wife and I bought a house that needed a lot of work but checked nearly all of our boxes. One of those boxes was a space for a workshop so that I could pick back up where I left off with woodworking. Last summer I refurbished the garage and now I have workshop access for the first time since I went off to college over a decade ago.

I don’t have any vision for this blog besides documenting my journey. It seems that the online communities that I used to enjoy are no longer as vibrant as they once were, or perhaps I’m just looking for something different than what they’re offering today. I enjoy sharing what I’m working on and while it would be fantastic to have readers who share my passion to interact with, I won’t hold my breath.
